I started losing my hair in high school at the age of 16, and went through my young adulthood feeling insecure and frustrated, trying desperately to cover up my increasingly bare scalp.

I worked in the hair replacement field for several years, consulting with women undergoing Chemotherapy treatments. When our customers came in to order their hair pieces, I was struck by how many of them wore ill-fitting baseball caps, complete with the opening at the back, which did nothing to camouflage their bare scalps. My customers taught me how important it is to a Cancer patient's self esteem to not just look good, but feel comfortable and secure as well. I decided to find head coverings for them that would be a vast improvement over baseball caps, and I wanted something pretty that my customers would want to wear.

Necessity is the mother of invention, and when I could not find what I wanted, I was inspired to design my own line. My head coverings and accessories are far more than just a coverup. They enhance a woman's appearance, and help her feel pretty again.

It is a joy to have a shop on Etsy, and to get lovely comments about the items I offer from new customers as well as my regular customers.
